"History is not the past, but a map of the past drawn from a particular point of view to be useful to the modern traveler."
(Henry Glassie)
By making a donation to Triquetra Services (Scotland), our organisation will be able to present these maps of the past to a wider audience of modern travelers. We would be able to develop new educational programmes and also keep delivering our current programmes, to ever-higher standards. We can also offer tax relief in the form of GiftAid, so please feel free to ask for a GiftAid form in the message box when you send a donation, and you will receive a form by email shortly after.
For what might your donation be used?
- £5 could provide the materials to make four flutes, or to spin a thousand rings for use in teaching chainmail crafts;
- £15 could contribute towards an educational weekend event;
- £30 could allow us to run a series of lessons teaching the skills involved in traditional fletching of arrows;
- £65 could fund an afternoon visit and presentation to a local school;
- £75 could provide the charity with membership of the library at the University of Glasgow for a year;
- £250 could allow us to purchase a digital copy of a medieval manuscript from a library or museum, preserving it for future generations.
If you are a landowner and would like to donate "in kind" towards the charity by letting us use your land for events then please get in touch with us.
